Nicholbridge Shepherds has proudly placed over 40 puppies in Florida and the United States. Each placement is a unique situation with different circumstances and requirements. We are always happy to accommodate loving dog owners and their specific needs.

The experience has been very rewarding, and educational. There are limitations that we are subjected to in regards to the screening process of prospective owners, and homes. This, in addition to prior experiences, created the need for a selection order.

We have always had a waiting list for our upcoming litters and experience has led to the following process. We have found this to be the most logical approach, being fair to all involved:

To be put on the waiting list all you need to do is contact us via email, phone or through the website. We will add your name to the list, tell you what spot you have, and post it on the website. This will reserve your place on the waiting list, which will eventually become the selection order. At the time the new litter is born, we contact all prospective owners in the order of the waiting list. At this time we determine who is still interested in a pup, and what gender is preferred. The waiting list will soon become the "selection order", which is the order that the prospective owners can pick out their pup once they have reached the age that they can be selected, which is usually around 4-5 weeks old. Once we have confirmed your commitment, we require that you mail or deliver a selection order retainer on your puppy, in the amount of $100. Once the retainer is received, we will update the selection order on the website with your first name. We will update the pictures of the current litter weekly on the site, and you are always welcome to come and see the pups throughout the entire 8 weeks they are under our care. Once the pups reach about 4-5 weeks old we allow the members of the selection order to come and pick out your puppy in the respective order of the list. We require that the full deposit is made by this time which would be another $100. You will have paid $200 on your puppy at this time, and the remaining balance will be due at the time the puppy goes home. Deposits can be made by check, although we do ask that the balance is paid in cash or money order when you take the puppy home. NicholBridge Shepherds reserves the right to use logical discretion in assessing deposit refund requests. This would depend on the situation, timing, availability, and NicholBridge Shepherds reserves the right to use our discretion, judging on a case by case evaluation. For example, if you sent us a $100 deposit, and then we took your puppy off the market, and we never heard back from you until around week five to tell us you got another pup already, we would likely not refund your deposit since you did not keep in contact with us and we turned others away because you had a puppy reserved that you now do not want (that is a true story). If you sent a deposit, kept in contact with us, then maybe found out you were not getting the house you planned on, ( that is a true story as well and the deposit was refunded) or had a health issue that prevented you from being able to get the pup, something like that, we would likely refund the deposit for you. We pride ourselves on being fair, honest, and reasonable in all transactions and interactions with prospective owners, and in turn we expect the same treatment. This is how deposit refunds are viewed and addressed by NicholBridge Shepherds, and it does differ from the policy previously written on our old website. These examples are some of the previously mentioned “experiences” that have led to the new policy.
As always, in any capacity, we welcome any requests regarding referrals from previous litters, and will willingly provide contact information for you to do your own research if you wish. We have numerous owners who keep in contact with us, that would gladly give you a reference on us, our pups, the conditions in which our puppies are raised, and anything else that may be a concern for you as a prospective owner. We also will willingly provide contact information for our veterinarian as a reference tool for you as we have been using the same vet for 5 years and she has inspected and certified every pup we have bred, as well as our three shepherds.
